Connection Options

HTTP:
Since Chameleon TGP/MGP Submitter actively uses IE as well as its settings during the process of manual submitting, please go to IE options to set up connection for Manual Submit (click the IE Options button for quick access).

Proceed by setting up connection for Auto Submit:

If you are using a Proxy Server, check the item Use a Proxy Server and fill out required data. In case you have already set this proxy up in IE options, then its Address and Port will be automatically filled out by clicking the Get From IE button.
Enter Username and Password if needed.

The information about Your External IP Address can automatically be filled in using the Get button. This tests the connection and if it is found to be functioning properly, the IP address is completed.
If you use a proxy server which sends the IP address of the client, you will see a message box (“Forwarded for: x.x.x.x”).

Specify the time (in seconds) in Submit Timeout during which Chameleon TGP/MGP Submitter will be attempting to send out information to sites during Auto Submit.

Enter the number of automatically retried submissions after a failed auto submit to a particular site in # of Retries.

SMTP:
Enter the Address and Port of your Mail Server for Outgoing mail (SMTP). This data is necessary to send mails during auto submit in Step 6.
If the SMTP server requests authorization, enter both the Username and Password.

Tips & Tricks:

  • The information entered is only used for auto submit; the Proxy Server settings in IE will be used when submitting manually.
